4 Sleep Tips
Are you tired in the mornings? Did you get restless sleep or little sleep? Perhaps you are not sleeping properly or getting enough sleep?
Here are 4 tips to help you out:
1) One simple thing to aide with sleeping issues is to go to bed at the same time every evening and get up the same time every morning. You should try to get at least 8 hours of sleep each night.
2)Heat up one cup of milk and add a teaspoon of honey and drink right before bedtime.
3)Avoid cardiovascular exercises in the afternoon. This type of exercise wakes up the body. Perhaps an evening stroll around the neighborhood or take a yoga class, both would be a better choice to relax your body before sleep.
If you can, make an effort to exercise in the mornings.
4) Try to eat your evening meal a couple of hours or longer before your bedtime. This will give more time for your food to be digested. Also you should try to avoid going directly to bed right after eating.
If you need additional support, you can give acupuncture a try.
Acupuncture increases nocturnal melatonin secretion and reduces insomnia and anxiety. A study showed that five weeks of acupuncture treatment was associated with a significant nocturnal increase in endogenous melatonin secretion. Acupuncture has been proven to have relaxant effects. If you have insomnia and anxiety, acupuncture may be of value.
Acupuncture and herbal medicine can assist you naturally with getting better quality sleep without prescription medications. Good news is that Doug has helped other patients including me with sleeping troubles.
